Lewallen. Courtney Lewallen.
(Pronounced: Luh-wall-en, or Lou-allen, Luhw-allen, or Lou-ellen, or Luh-wellen.)
(I don’t even know to pronounce it. Your guess is as good as mine.)
I’m a writer—a novelist, poet, short-story writer, and essayist. I also love history and space; I’m a math nerd and philosopher (though many people don’t know that last part). My writing has been/will be featured in literary journals and newspapers throughout the greater Hickory area! I’ve won a competition or two.
I’ve been writing my entire life(?), but I’m just now emerging into the writing world. It’s a strange place, the writing world. A bit like Labyrinth. I encounter goblins at every turn and I have no idea where I’m going. It’s a dangerous place, with too many “helping hands.” Emphasis on the quotes.
Also, David Bowie hangs around with tight pants.
Feel free to contact me. I love attention. Open your message with a joke and you’re sure to win me over. Make me burst out laughing and I’ll warm to you instantly. Trust me, it’s not hard. I’m a good audience. Just don’t insult me. I own things.
